The Southern Oklahoma Builders Association is a trade organization whose members ae involved in the development, homebuilding, commercial building and remodeling industry in 7 counties. Our industry contributes to hundreds of jobs and considerable dollars to the local economy and jurisdictions annually.

We at Southern Oklahoma Builders Assocation are committed to improving the quality of homes in our surrounding area through continuing education and commitment to using the latest building science. Products continue to be improved that allow homes to be more comfortable, energy efficient and have a dramatic improvement in indoor air quality. Our builders are dedicated to learning about new products and processes as new technology allows improvements in homes and buildings.

Creating the American dream "owning your own home" and providing jobs is our responsibility to our customers and our community. It takes an average of 5.6 months for a team of specialty contractors - carpenters, roofers, painters, plumbers, brick layers, etc under the builders watchful eye to build someone's "dream home" - making housing one of the largest engines of economic growth in the industry.

When you join the SOBA you also become a member of the Oklahoma State Homebuilders Association (OSHBA) and the National Homebuilders Association (NAHB).

Founded in 1942, NAHB is a federation of more than 800 state and local associations. About one-third of NAHB’s 235,000 members are home builders and/or remodelers. The remaining members are associates working in closely related fields within the housing industry, such as mortgage finance and building products and services.

We are a trade association of over 3,000 members in 15 local associations statewide serving as an advocate for Oklahoma's housing industry and as a corporate channel through which builders contribute time, money and services to local community service projects and education initiatives.
